Global tracking, sensing and control network with greater coverage at the lowest cost
eSAT Global offers direct-to-satellite, ultra-low power, two-way, and low-latency narrowband connectivity solutions for IoT devices worldwide. eSAT Global offers direct-to-satellite, ultra-low power, two-way, and low-latency narrowband connectivity solutions for IoT devices worldwide. Power distribution, border and perimeter security, oil and gas, smart agriculture, transportation, and maritime are among the vertical markets where the company is collaborating with partners to deploy solutions to millions of devices. eSAT platform eSAT works to provide global coverage without the need for a terrestrial backhaul infrastructure, with latency as low as two seconds and guaranteed transmission.
The company claims that the solutions it offers are based on a technical possibility that leverages existing reliable geosynchronous MSS satellite platforms to provide coverage and latency that LEO and CubeSat systems cannot match. The eSAT communication platform communicates with IoT terminals, which contain an eSAT communications module that transmits the same power as an RFID device, by using GEO MSS satellites.
To communicate with the MSS satellites, the eSAT module sends a 10 milliwatt signal. LEO satellites for IoT connectivity, according to the company, have no quantitative advantage over GEO satellites for IoT connectivity. This is especially true in terms of cost-per-bit in both directions, the terminal transmits power, capacity, and spectral efficiency, where eSAT claims GEO satellites perform 100 times better.
