Inseego is a mobile and fixed wireless connectivity firm established in San Diego that offers fifth-generation (5G) internet and IoT device-to-cloud solutions. T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, cellular, and Rogers are among the companies that work with the firm to develop wireless hardware modems and routers. Dan Mondor launched Inseego in 1996, and the company is traded on the NASDAQ under the INSG symbol.

Mobile hotspots, home, and corporate routers, USB modems, telematics, and mobile tracking services are among Inseego’s fourth-generation (4G) Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and 5G New Radio (NR) devices. The company was also the first to produce 2G modems for mobile broadband and the first to create MiFi hotspots for usage in the first cellular Amazon Kindle.

Ctrack is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) that allows enterprises to track and manage assets, such as commercial fleets in the aviation, construction, government, and transportation industries. Ctrack also supports device management solutions, which allow clients to choose, install, and manage wireless assets. On February 24, 2021, Inseego announced the all-cash sale of Ctrack’s South African operations to Convergence Partners for approximately USD$36,200,00.

In the fourth quarter of 2020, the company’s IoT and mobile solutions division generated $72,100,000 USD, more than doubling sales from the previous year. At the same time, sales from Inseego’s enterprise software-as-a-service (SaaS) sector fell by about 7% to $14,000,000 in 2020.

In December 2020, T-Mobile unveiled their T-Mo hotspot package, which includes 100GB of 5G mobile hotspot data via Inseego’s 5G MiFi M2000 for $50 per month. The promotion, which drew comparisons to Verizon’s $145 per month 40GB plan and AT&T’s $145 49GB package, ended in late March.
